Work & Mentions
Here’s what’s new from beauty & fashion editor and freelance writer Lora Grady.
You can find my LinkedIn here, and if you’re interested in collaborating or working together, feel free to get in touch with me at lora.grady@gmail.com.
I attended Ryerson Journalism School and at 21, became co-editor-in-chief of a campus feminist magazine. When I graduated a year later, I landed an internship at Chatelaine, one of Canada’s leading women’s lifestyle magazines, and soon became a full-time editor. Eventually, I became a fashion and beauty editor in custom publishing, which is how I spend my weekdays from 9 to 5.
Outside of my job, I have a part-time freelance career where I’m able to write about overcoming physical challenges, plus-size fashion, body-positive activists and my favourite cosmetics. My work has been published in Walmart Live Better, The Kit, Chatelaine, Canadian Health & Lifestyle, This magazine, Style at Home, The Ryerson Review of Journalism and on Flare.com.
When I’m not working, you can find me relaxing somewhere downtown with pals, a chai latte in hand (or a cheeseburger, depending on the time of day), rocking a new bold lipstick and a big ol’ grin.
