Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Succulent Six members Steff Ivory Conover and Ashley Sharman about their groundbreaking new series, coming next week (Feb. 27, 2018) to CBC.ca.

My main reasons for why I think everyone needs to watch The Succulent Six are all outlined in this review I wrote for FLARE, but I wanted to add: This show has the potential to change lives. Watching the first three episodes was so refreshing—I’ve never seen plus-size people represented this way on TV before. I was also able to interview producer Anna Wayslenki and General Purpose Entertainment president Scott Clark McNeil, who expressed so much love and support for the series and the actual reality of what was caught on camera.
